So it’s no surprise, that years back I said I would never use a Chromebook…well those times have changed.

I now have several, and all of them I love to use. I got rid of my MacBook Pro, in favor of using the Pixel Slate, and now I’m all in with the Pixelbook Go. Really a great laptop, and does pretty much everything I did on my MacBook Pro. All but one thing, editing!

I probably could do editing on my Chromebook, but I just have not had the best experience when I did in the past. So I’ll circle back around to this one. However, everything else is golden. This laptop is so amazing, and has much better battery life than any other laptop I’ve owned. Battery last me a full week or more sometimes, with the way I use it. I normally use this laptop about 2 hours or so everyday, and with doing so…it last all week long. I don’t power it off, and I just close the lid.

It has instant on, and that is just a great feature. When I have my Pixel 4 XL next to the laptop, I just hit enter on the keyboard and it unlocks. The one thing I would like to see in the future, is some sort of face unlock or fingerprint unlock.

The screen on the Pixelbook Go is simply great, and plays content very well. Viewing angles are solid, with no complaints from me. However, I would love to get a look at the 4k display, but at $1400 I don’t think I can stomach that.

Hardware is good, and should be able to take a few drops here and there. Not being glass, it should last you. Keep it in a nice pouch, or bag and you are good to go.

The software is something that makes these laptops great, but there is one thing I would like to see different, or removed. The dual app thing, or web apps vs regular apps. It’s something I’m ready to see go away. If Chrome OS is the one, then make it the one. Most consumers might be a little bothered by this over time, and it is also a little confusing too. But speaking of software, it’s fast and smooth. No issues here, and I have yet to have a problem with it performing badly.

Video at the break…enjoy.
