Budget Battle. Who’s winning? Xiaomi?

I have lots of phones that cost less than $200, but not all of them are good.  In fact, only Motorola, Xiaomi, and ZTE produce some good phones under that price point in my opinion.

That’s not to say others are bad, but more like they need to take notes for the above named companies.  They are winning.  The latest phone I bought, is the Xiaomi Red 5 Plus…and it’s AWESOME!

The phone has killer specs, and like some others..it rivals the big boys in many ways.  Coming in with a 5.99 inch FHD+ display, this thing is gorgeous.  The 18:9 ratio works well on this device, and it really stands out.  There are two version of this phone, global for US LTE and international for other parts.

Here are some good things about this phone

  • 12mp rear camera
  • 5mp front camera
  • 4000mAh Battery
  • Headphone Jack
  • IR Blaster w/remote app installed already
  • Loud speaker
  • Fingerprint reader
  • Metal body

I mean this thing is loaded.  It doesn’t have type c USB, but I can live without based on all the other things I’ve mentioned.  There is a lot to like about these types of phones, because the mid range phones are turning out to be better than the flagships.  I will be comparing this phone against some heavy hitters, so stay tuned. Until then, hit the video at the break.
