It’s not secret that these two phones are some the best smartphones on the market today!  The Samsung Galaxy S8 and the LG G6 are the latest offerings, from two of the major OEMs in the US.

The LG G6 offers

  • 5.7 inch Quad HD Screen
  • 3GB RAM 32GB ROM
  • SD Card
  • Waterproofing
  • Wireless charging (US Market)
  • Dual 13mp Camera (rear w/wide angle)
  • 5mp (front w/wide angle)
  • Fast Charging
  • 3300mAh Battery

The Samsung Galaxy S8 Offers

  • 5.8 inch Quad HD Screen
  • 4GB RAM 64GB ROM
  • SD Card
  • Waterproofing
  • Wireless charging (Fast)
  • 12mp Camera (Dual Pixel)
  • 8mp (front camera w/wide angle)
  • Fast Charging
  • Iris Scanner
  • Heart rate monitor
  • 3000mAh battery

So as you can see, both phones are giving you some great features.  It will depend on what you like in a phone, or require.  I’ve found that I prefer the LG G6 for build quality and design, over the Galaxy S8.  If feels better in the hand, and gives an overall nice feel with it’s metal frame to hold on to.

The performance of the G6 is also smoother to me in my usage, and just flows better than Samsung Experience on the Galaxy S8.  I’ve gotten some lag on my S8 from time to time, and it just shouldn’t be like that with the processor inside.

The Battery life on the G6 also does better than the Galaxy S8, in daily use for me.  I’m easily getting over 6 hours of screen on time with the G6, and only about 4 to 5 with the S8.

The Galaxy S8 is much better in my use for low light, and the overall quality of the pictures seem to look a little bit better.  Colors are very bright, and punchy as Samsung is known to do with their cameras.  Video on  both phones are good, and the G6 has a slight edge with it’s WIDE angle shots and video.  The G6 also has some nice touches to their camera, with options like PopOut photo.  Overall, I like the S8 cameras better than the G6.

Speakers on both phones are doable, even though they are both waterproof.  Although, the G6 does have a slightly better quality speaker than the S8 in my opinion.

The Screens on phones look great, but Samsung just makes some of the BEST displays of any smartphones offered today.  The G6’s screen just seems to be too low in regular usage, and doesn’t get as bright as I would like.  However, there are not very many displays that can beat out Samsung’s Super AMOLED technology, it’s simply the best right now.

The price of both phones are up there.

G6 = $650

S8 = $750

But you should be able to find some GREAT deals on both, but better deals on the G6 right now.  With the G6 you can get a Free Google home, free LG tablet (T-Mobile), and also $200 in free games just for buying it.

With the S8, Samsung is giving away the new VR headset with remote.

Do some research, but you should be able to grab a good deal on both. Video at the break, and I’ll see you on the next post.
