Meet the new Moto G5 Plus!

It’s time for a first look and hands on with the Moto G5 Plus.

Motorola is known for bringing out some good products, and this time they’ve done it even better.  Sticking with the low price point, and giving us a device packed with lots of features. Just look at what this phone with offering.

  • 5.2 inch 1080p LCD Display

  • 12mp rear camera f/1.7

  • 5mp front camera f/2.2

  • 4GBs RAM 64GB ROM

  • Fingerprint Reader

  • 3000mAh battery

  • Snapdragon 625 processor

  • SD Card Slot

  • Front facing speaker

  • Moto Actions

  • Android 7.0

  • Dual Band WiFi AC

  • 2.4ghz and 5ghz WiFi

The rear camera shoots 4k video at 30fps, and 1080p at 60fps/30fps along with other modes like Professional.  Still shots are very impressive, also low light footage is really good.

The phone is housed in a metal body, with the Sleek overall design.  It comes in 2 colors grey or gold. The phone is factory unlocked, so you can use it with any GSM carrier right out of the box.

My first impressions of the device, are really positive at this point. Giving you so many features for a $299 price point is truly amazing.  The phone is competing against some Heavy Hitters in this price range, but I think this one will shine over those in some areas.  Stock Android gives at the edge, and the design and build quality is superior to most. Please note, there is a little brother to this device but you’re really taking a hit on specifications.  (See them here)

I’ll be testing this device and using it as my daily driver for the next two weeks, so I can bring you a nice full review. I’ll also be comparing camera samples with the Galaxy S7, and some other devices. But for now, look at some photo samples taken in low-light with the camera. There’s also a Bokeh photo taken with it as well, this camera is really nice so far.  There’s also a video unboxing below as well, enjoy.

I bought this from Best Buy here in my local area, so check your local stores. The Best Buy website shows it still as preorder at the moment (3/24/2017), but several people like walk into the store and bought it outright.
