There’s one device that I like to revisit every year, and it’s the Motorola Nexus 6.
This device was before its time there’s no other way to say it. It has a 6 inch display, dual speakers, AMOLED display, and a beautiful body. This device was released in 2014, and it’s still the device that can be used today in 2017.
I wrote an article a while back, about buying last year’s Tech. Well in this case, we are talking about a device this three years old. So how does it stand up against today’s competition? I think it’s doing just fine. With 3GBs of ram in the base model with 32GBs on board storage, that’s more than enough to take you through your daily tasks. Email has been upgraded to Android nougat, and it flies just like it was brand new out of the box.
However, everything is not all gold and with this device. The one place where the vice still lacks, is the cameras. I never had the best experience with the cameras on the Motorola Nexus 6, but they will get the job done. Aside from that, there’s nothing really bad about this device that I can find in my usage over the years. I think the design of the device truly stands out among some of the best.
Two speakers on a smartphone today should be a standard, no matter how is incorporated. However, the sound that you get from front facing speakers truly shines over some of the rest. Even though this device is 3 years old, the speaker setup still sounds better than several devices on the market today.
If you can find this device for under $250 brand new I still recommend it over several other devices that are out today, because at one point remember this was a flagship. Is a quad-core Snapdragon 805 inside, which is a great processor. Couple that with Android 7.0, and you got a winner.
I love the ramble on about how great this device is, but I don’t need to take the video at the break.
